Up to 30 full-time and part-time jobs for Mayo Gaeltacht
TWO full-time jobs and up to 30 part-time and full-time jobs have been announced for Belmullet and the greater Erris region with leading market research firm Ipsos / MRBI.
The company seeks to establish a presence in the gteic digital hub network (Gréasán Digiteach na Gaeltachta), a network of 30 innovation and digital centers in rural areas of Gaeltacht in the counties of Donegal, Mayo, Galway, Kerry, Cork, Waterford and Meath, and including several Gaeltacht and non-Gaeltacht islands.
Údarás na Gaeltachta has confirmed that a main call center is currently installed in gteic @ Béal an Mhuirthead for the company, but it is expected that future IPSOS employees will be able to use one of the new gteic hubs being developed. development, namely gteic. @An Eachléim and gteic @ An Corrán Buí – as the business grows and as the restrictions related to Covid-19 ease.
Ipsos employs 18,000 people worldwide and provides market research services to businesses online, through face-to-face interviews, mail and phone calls. The nature of market research services is shifting towards part-time employment in order to allow the company to cover various shifts during and outside regular office hours.
The new jobs were welcomed by Údarás na Gaeltachta as well as a number of public officials from the region. Westport / Belmullet Municipal District Councilor Fianna Fáil and Cathaoirleach Seán Carey said jobs would be welcome in the community.

Ipsos has started the process of recruiting 30 people for a mix of part-time and full-time contracts in the Erris area. Training courses are delivered in partnership by Údarás na Gaeltachta and the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Program of the Mayo North East Leader Partnership Company.
